help! pup with a sarcoptic mange

good evening to all.. my 4 month old toy poodle, Cholo, has a sarcoptic mange..his vet injected ivermectin last friday.. then saturday morning pinaliguan ko and used anti-mange soap.. up to now kamot pa din siya ng kamot.. i'm planning to buy an anti-itch powder for Cholo tomorrow but i don't have any idea kung anong brand yung bibilihin ko.. any suggestion po? TIA!

madre cacao leaves
alatiris leaves
makabuhay leaves
neem leaves
aloe vera sap
vco

equal parts of madre cacao leaves, alatiris leaves, makabuhay leaves and neem leaves, dikdikin mo mabuti at katasan mo, un makakatas mo (for exampl is 10ml, 10ml din na vco at aloe vera sap ang ihahalo mo)then iblender mo, then ipahid sa katawan ng dog mo esp the affected parts, gwn mo yan 3x a week or more, overnight mo ibabad sa katawan or 5-6 hours before siya paliguan, ang gamitin mo sabon pampaligo un dr.kaufmans soap(the orange one na anti scabicide). then boost up his immune system, iwas lang idikit sa iabg aso kc sarcoptic mange is highly contagious compare to demodectic mange

yes demodectic. last month lang na diagnose after a very long time of skin problem. We and vets thought of many things lang food allergy, parasites etc.. dami namin nagastos sacks of different brands of premium dog food pero wala nagbago.. now we stick to royal canin a3.. yan kasi food ng lahat ng dogs ko.. kung mange kasi wla daw sa dog food yun according sa vet dpat mataas immune system ng dog para mas mabilis gumaling.. according to my vet demodectic mange is hereditary making it non contagious hence it is not advisable to breed dogs with a history of being infected by it. Sarcoptic mange on the other hand is passed on from host to host through physical contact & may also infect humans but very much treatable although it might take days of heavy scratching before its totally cured.

thanks po sir sa advice..this friday ibabalik ko ulit si Cholo sa vet para macheck kung meron pang mange and para makita kung umepekto na yung ininject sa kanya. pag wala parin pong changes ittry ko po tong sinuggest mo. di ko din maiwasan madikit pag nililinisan ko yung poop sa cage and binibigyan ko ng food dikit ng dikit gusto makipag harutan. ginagawa ko naghuhugas nalang ako using soap hehehe!! maraming salamat po ulit!

di pa naman po naglalagas yung hair ni Cholo (wag naman sana) hehehe!!pwede ko po ba yun magamit kahit di naman naglalagas hair niya? para lang din sa immune system niya and pangpabloom narin ng hair?

yung mange niya nakuha dun sa petshop sa Tiende. ano mas madali magcure dun sir sa dalawang mange?

nakakinis lang sa vet parang walang gana kausap. kung di mo tatanungin di ka sasagutin. eh wala naman ako ganong alam sa treatment ng mange sa kailangan tanungin ko pa siya paulit ulit. buti nalang may ppf hehe!! and nagbabalak na kami maghanap ng bagong vet. dito kasi tayuman ang ang hirap maghanap sa baka dun kami sa isang pet shop na napuntahan ko sa Pet Bureau Animal Clinic sa QC..

my vet said sarcoptic mange is easier to cure & very much treatable. i didnt ask much about demodectic mange tho since my dog had sarcoptic mange same as yours. however my vet also told me dogs with sarcoptic mange can infect humans while dogs with demodectic mange can only infect its puppies. demodectic mange that infect humans are of different class. vet used revolution on her & in 1-2 weeks wala na. kaya lang un sa puppy ko kase naagapan ko pa dinala ko agad sa vet from the breeder. hindi pa gano nagspread. kaya be patient lalo na pag kumalat na sa dog mo un infection might take more than a month. there is also advocate/advantage for mange its a lot stronger but i dont recommend it coz ive read negative reviews online about it possibly being harmful to pets. if you want to learn more about demodectic mange or anything about dogs health heres a good website. very informative. http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm ... 09&aid=729
